Prevent excessive transmission temperatures and improve cooling efficiency with the PPE Thermal Bypass Valve, designed for 2013–2018 RAM 2500/3500 6.7L Cummins trucks equipped with the 68RFE transmission.
The factory thermal bypass valve uses an internal thermostat that can restrict fluid flow even when fully open. This restriction can lead to elevated transmission temperatures, reduced cooling efficiency, and potential long-term transmission damage.
The PPE upgrade replaces the restrictive factory unit with a precision-machined billet aluminum valve that allows constant, unrestricted transmission fluid flow to the cooler for improved temperature control and reliability.
