Replace your faulty ICP sensor with this Genuine Ford Injection Control Pressure Sensor, part number 3C3Z-9F838-A, designed for 2003–2004 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke diesel engines.
Many hard start, rough idle, and driveability issues on early 6.0L Powerstroke trucks can be traced back to a failing ICP sensor. The ICP sensor sends pressure data to the PCM so it can command the High Pressure Oil Pump (HPOP) to generate the correct injection pressure. Without proper pressure, the injectors cannot fire correctly.
This sensor is a direct OEM replacement for early-build 6.0L trucks with the ICP sensor mounted on the HPOP housing under the turbo.
Important Fitment Note
Ford used two different ICP sensor locations on 6.0L Powerstroke engines.
– If your sensor is located on the HPOP housing under the turbo, you need 3C3Z-9F838-A
– If your sensor is located in the valve cover, you need 4C3Z-9F838-A
Please verify sensor location and build date before ordering, correct for trucks with build date prior to 09/29/2003.
