Description
These are authentic Motorcraft ZD-31 glow plugs — the only plugs approved by Ford for early 6.0L Powerstroke engines. Do not risk engine damage with cheap aftermarket substitutes that can swell, break off, or create piston clearance issues.
In 2004, Ford updated the piston design in the 6.0L Powerstroke. This resulted in a shorter glow plug design to avoid piston contact. If the wrong (longer) glow plug is installed in an engine with the updated bowl design, catastrophic engine failure may occur.
These OEM ZD-31 glow plugs are the correct length for early build 6.0L engines. Always verify your engine’s serial number before ordering.
