The diesel fuel heating element is designed to prevent diesel fuel from gelling in cold temperatures. It heats the diesel fuel inside of the fuel filter to dissolve paraffin wax crystals. It raises the fuel temperature to appropriate levels to avoid pre-detonation of the fuel once it’s injected into the combustion chamber.
This heating element makes a great replacement and has good value over the price of the dealer part.
