The MAF sensor measures the volume of air entering the engine, which allows the ECU to balance the air-fuel mixture for optimal combustion. On LMM Duramax engines, common MAF issues include dirt or contamination on the hot wires, wiring harness problems, connector faults, or intake air leaks.
